Preparatory Course for Hanyu
Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced
Course Information
The main objective of this programme is to prepare both local and foreign students for:
- The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 1 & 2 Tests
- The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 3 & 4 Tests; or
- The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 5 & 6 Tests
The above mentioned HSK tests are designed by Hanban (Chinese Language Council International), China’s Chinese language authority which allows students to benchmark their Chinese language proficiency for self-improvement, study opportunities in China and career enhancement.The course will focus on increasing student’s accuracy and general competence in Chinese Language and provides training in the key language vocabulary and skills needed for success completion of the above tests through lessons designed to cover the areas of Listening, Reading and Writing.

Course Duration
Full Time: 3 months, 5 weekdays, 3 hours daily
Part Time: 6 months, 2 weekdays, 3 hours daily

Quarterly Tests will be conducted quarterly
External Assessment:
Upon completion of the course, Student can register for HSK Test administered by Hanban (Chinese Language Council International), China.
Students who have registered for Preparatory Course for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Beginner may take HSK Test 1 or 2.
Students who have registered for Preparatory Course for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Intermediate may take HSK Test 3 or 4.
Students who have registered for Preparatory Course for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Advanced may take HSK Test 5 or 6.
Course Completion
Students must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason.
