Course Information
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination is an annual examination conducted in Singapore. The examinations are jointly set, mainly by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) and the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). The qualification is recognized internationally and is accepted for entry in many tertiary institutions around the world, including the junior colleges and polytechnics in Singapore.
Elmwood International College has specially designed an effective Preparatory Course to help students pass the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination. The main objective of this programme is to prepare both local and foreign students to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination. Students who have passed and obtained good grades will be able to gain entry into local universities as well as other universities overseas. The aim is to ensure that students eventually gain their university degrees that will aid their entry into the working world.
Students will go through a customized and structured intensive programme that will better equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the standards for entering Singapore’s mainstream government schools. The subjects that are taught follow the Ministry of Education (Singapore)’s syllabuses closely.

Course Admission Requirements
• Students should be at least 17 years old by 1st January of the year of examination. • Students will be required to attain 50% or more for Upper Secondary English Placement Exam.
